Pollution levels high - plant trees Reported anonymously at 13:43, Thu 23 July 2020 Dear Madam/Sir, I am contacting you regarding the Forest Hill end of the south circular (A205) which I believe is TFL's responsibility and that is an area within Stanstead Road, London SE23. This area is extremely polluted - there are no trees, and as it is on the corner and traffic slows down, the pollution levels are extremely high, particularly in the summer. I walk my children to/from school twice a day and I can taste the pollution on the back of my throat - it is unhealthy to say the least. Yet there are shops, takeaways, nurseries and bus stops near-by where people are exposed to this high level of pollution. I urge TFL to consider planting trees in this area urgently as the air quality is worrying. Can you please confirm who I would contact about this to clarify how we can go about funding these trees (on my road, we have worked with Street Trees for Brockley to plant over 5 trees and would expect TFL to have a similar scheme).
