Traffic lights not clear to traffic Reported anonymously at 21:47, Thu 13 August 2020 On 27 July I contacted Lambeth with the following complaint: “My son and I were very nearly hit by a car when crossing the road from Clapham Common using the pedestrian crossing where the A205 meets the A24 and Cavendish Road. The pedestrian light was green so we began to cross and a car drove straight as us. I was obviously furious with the driver but was calmed down by a cyclist who explained that the traffic signals are not clear for cars; he felt it wasn’t really the cars fault. Clearly something needs to be done to make this crossing safer. I’m very thankful that the car wasn’t going any faster and no one was hurt but this story could have had a very different ending”. Lambeth replied to tell me that they have forwarded my complaint to you but u am yet to receive more information.
