Pavement widening hurts cyclists

Reported anonymously at 09:40, Mon 24 August 2020

Dear Sir, I was hoping someone can explain the pavement widening on Bishopsgate. I see that you have tweeted that works should make walking and cycling around the city easier. However, the opposite is true for cyclists. You have squeezed us into a smaller space that is shared with the large double decker buses. I need to cycle from Threadneedle Street to Spitalfields a long Bishopsgate and I now feel very vulnerable that I have less space to cycle in. Can you please explain how this is making cycling and walking safer.
