Ground borne vibration increase as a result of gas mains work Reported anonymously at 21:19, Tue 27 October 2020 Extended gas works, apparently carried out very professionally and over a long period, have resulted in a very substantial increase to ground borne vibration in the surrounding buildings, including our house. Some vibrations have always existed, but as soon as the traffic restrictions were removed, we have seen a huge spike in the tremors felt in our building. We would like this to be investigated and corrected. Resurfacing of the A205 here a few years ago left a smooth, quiet and vibration free surface, and it is apparent that the cause of the recent change is the gas mains works that were recently completed.
