Unstable wheelchair ramps at roadworks Reported anonymously at 07:38, Thu 18 March 2021 The yellow plastic wheelchair ramps at these roadworks have not been secured to the pavement. There are clear instructions printed on the ramps that they must be secured to the pavement, and there are bolt-holes provided in the ramps. Because they have not been secured to the pavement, they slide off the kerb when a wheelchair user tries to use them, or are already in the gutter, having slid off earlier, making them UNUSABLE for a wheelchair user. Please ensure that these ramps are from now on securely bolted to the kerb, so that this dangerous safety hazard is removed and wheelchair users are no longer put at risk of accident and injury.
