Bright streelight located opposite 136 Tooley street,boss street

Sent to TfL 5 minutes later. TfL ref: FMS1911605.

This streetlight shines a bright blue light that is causing a nuisance and going into the property at night time .It has been months that this issue has been ongoing since roadworks have and the member of the public has had to get black out blinds in order to deal with this but there hasn't been any resolution. Can this be looked into ASAP please.

  • As detailed by your operative this has been an ongoing issue first noticed after the cycle lane installation commenced earlier this year. The lights placed near my property are placed in locations directly opposite and adjacent to my property. The height causes nuisance and disturbance. The bulb appears to be a very bright harsh artificial light not in keeping with Southwark maintained lighting in this highly residential area.

  • Although a guard has now been put up on the street light opposite (the light as per my original image) the improvement is minimal. Further, light also hits my property from street lights adjacent to my property (note neither have numbers on). Ms Day indicates guards have also been fitted to those lights but I can not see that is correct. Finally, I have been told these are new bulbs. Clearly brighter than previous lighting. These bulbs are too bright and should not have been used at this locality without some degree of consultation
