New roadworks have sunk causing building shaking

Reported in the Pothole category anonymously at 12:03, Tue 31 December 2019

Sent to TfL 2 minutes later. TfL ref: FMS1911918.

Tollington Road N7 6PB A previous road sinking problem was resolved on November 29th, but in 30 days has disintegrated and crumbled away to leave a shallow trench across the very busy bus lane outside 39 Tollington Road N7 6PB (see images). This has created a ‘hard step' that the buses hit every 60 seconds causing severe shaking through all the surrounding properties. It is a double vibration as the front and back wheels hit the step. Inside our properties, it feels as though the bricks and mortar is being shaken apart as each heavy bus speeds past. We all suspect the cause is a large services plastic pipe below the surface, as the road sinks by an inch every time a heavy vehicle drives over it causing the tarmac to split and deteriorate very quickly. This has all happened in only 30 days. The solution would be to create a solid base under the tarmac to eliminate any collapsing movement and then resurface. The whole terrace is being severely effected, please help, we need to sleep!
