The fact that the water has drained away 36 hours after the last rainfall is really rather missing the point. This part of the pavement floods like this EVERY TIME IT RAINS and it takes days to drain away - the point is it shouldn't take days to drain away.
If you check the drain, you'll see, like all the others along the pavement and the road, it is completely blocked with black sludge. The whole street needs attending to. Come back and do your jobs properly.

TFL will continue to monitor the defect. This location has been placed on to the hot spot locations following heavy rain fall across the network.
Once the new financial year starts a date will have to be finalised for the gulley cleaning in 2020.
All gullies along the footway and carriageway were jet/cleaned during the annual cleaning activities. The last clean was during first quarter of 2019. The next jet clean will take place during the A316 Blockade which only occurs once a year for maintenance works to take place, the aim will also include for all gullies to be jet/ cleaned.
