Large Pothole- disturbing foundations of my property

Reported in the Pothole (minor) category anonymously at 11:03, Tuesday 28 January 2020

Sent to TfL 28 minutes later. TfL ref: FMS1965147.

I reported this problem nearly a month ago and this ticket was closed without being fixed. Since then the road is getting increasingly worse.

The pot holes and poor roads are disturbing the foundations of the properties between 336-332. Between the hours of 5am- midnight our houses are constantly shaking- more so when heavy vehicles pass. It is impossible to get a good nights sleep and we are now starting to see cracks in our walls. 334 the rendering on their property is starting to falling off.

Firstly, can someone please pay a visit to this location ASAP? Secondly can we please have an ETA on when this will be fixed? Thirdly can you please let me know how we can make a claim for compensation?

Can all the above please be addressed before this ticket is closed.

Thanks Ami

  • Hi

This stretch of road is posing the same problem again. A temporary tarmac filler was placed in the pothole. Unfortunately the vibrations have now started again- hence my 1.20am ticket. There has been increased heavy load vehicles on the road, assuming to ensure supermarkets are stocked.

The westbound stretch of A12 from Heath Drive to Park Boulevard is in poor condition- therefore causing the foundations to shake and I've noticed cracks in the rendering at the front of my property. Can this please be assessed and addressed properly instead of a temporary fix as I’m concerned about the prolonged damage to my property?

    Thanks Ami

  • Can I please have an update on the status of this ticket? The poor surfacing is having a dramatic impact on my ability to sleep with the constant flow of lorries and shaking of my house- hence the 4am message. Can this be dealt with as a matter of priority! I will also proceed with a claim to the damages to my property and have encouraged my affected neighbours to do the same.

  • Your lines are closed due to reduced staff and the contact link you have provided requires me to fill out another exact ticket like this. So can you please provide a viable solution as to how this can be resolved- we have been going round the houses for 5 months!
