Sunken and degrading utility trench repair
Reported in the Pavement Defect (uneven surface / cracked paving slab) category anonymously at 14:14, Wednesday 12 February 2020
Sent to TfL 1 minute later. TfL ref: FMS1970654.
Recent utility repair has left a sunken strip of tarmac about 10m long 30cm wide and about 5cm deep which is degrading to gravel. This is on the A24 towards Epsom immediately before the stop line for the traffic lights at B279 junction. Problem is on the south bound carriageway, left hand lane. It's a massive hazard to cyclists as it in the area which you ride in and its difficult to control through the damage.

This has not been fixed - it's seriously dangerous now. It's the bit immediately outside the car wash/garage. It's about 3-4 metres long and now has a very deep pot hole as well
