Blocked drain (non-functional) 142A Camberwell New Rd, Vassal, London SE5 0RS

Reported in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 15:49, Tuesday 11 February 2020

Sent to TfL 3 minutes later. TfL ref: FMS1992319.

The street drains on the Lambeth side of Camberwell New Road between Vassall Road and John Ruskin Street are not functioning at all. This means that huge amounts of rainwater collect and sit causing a public danger due to the amount of traffic driving through the standing water, disintegrating road surface and lingering filth and muck. Even light rain creates puddles that sit for days.

Updates

  • This is how it's been this week, the drains are really slow moving which suggests there's a lot of blockages in them. Some buses slow down to avoid splashing but others will carry on at their normal speed and cause massive splashes, soaking anyone on the pavement
