Road safety

Reported in the General Fault category anonymously at 10:33, Wed 26 February 2020

Sent to TfL 2 minutes later. TfL ref: FMS2023179.

Hi, could something be done to improve pedestrian safety when crossing the A316 please particularly at the traffic lights westbound.

Vehicles turn left from Hospital Bridge Road, some at speed, and either do not see or do not heed the red light to allow pedestrians to cross.

I have recently had an articulated lorry emergency stop as I was crossing on a green man. Very scary. This morning I witnessed five left turning vehicles go through a red light as I was waiting to cross. I am not sure if there's any enforcement there but that behaviour will lead to a fatality
