Stuck on red for 50 seconds

Reported in the Stuck on red category anonymously at 13:36, Wednesday 4 March 2020

Sent to TfL 4 minutes later. TfL ref: FMS2040009.

Hi. The traffic lights on Brixton Hill by the Civic Centre (going Northbound) are stuck on red for too long. They change 50 seconds after the lights from the opposite direction go green.

  • This problem still seems to be occurring by the mouth of the now pedestrianised Porden Road. I cross the road here every day and the lights here have definitely changed their mode of operation in the last month or so. The previous reporter was right that there is a v long delay. Although in the past I have noticed a short delay to the northbound green phase at certain times of day, there is now a long delay all day and every day.
