Speeding traffic and subsequent noise needs addressing
Reported in the Worn out road markings category by Edward Hannifan at 15:59, Mon 13 April 2020
Sent to TfL 1 minute later. TfL ref: FMS2086604.
This is an ongoing issue (I have been living here for nearly 5 years now), and one that the government recognises as making "the lives of people in communities across Britain an absolute misery and has very serious health impacts" (see link below). Cars and motorcycles are using Bromley Common as a race track. Travelling in both directions, individuals are going way over the speed limit, and in many cases, far over double the speed limit. Not only is this an incredibly dangerous issue for so many, it's deafeningly loud and feels a like a total violation of the private spaces inside home adjacent to the road. It is happening fairly regularly throughout the day and night.
There are no speed signs reminding people that the limit is 30mph (I think there is one outside the bus depot towards PRU and that's it), and currently only one speed camera outside the entrance to Norman Park. Whilst it makes that one junction safer, it does nothing for the safety and noise pollution for the rest of what is a long and wide stretch of road.
Please see the link below. This technology would improve the daily quality of life for the very many who live along this busy road. But also, please do something - at least put up more speed limit signs along the road as a temporary effort.

I fully agree, the speeding traffic after the zebra crossing is awful and it’s very difficult to drive into and out of heron court. I’ve reported this to TFL on a few occasions that I’ve almost been hit when sat in lane 2 waiting to enter my road!

There are traffic islands opposite Bloomfield Road and Addison Road. A motorcyclist was heading towards Bromley. Wanting to overtake a car and keep left of the Addison Road island was doing a wheely his bike. (Only the back wheel on the road.)
