Tree branches banging against residential building/windows
Reported in the Low hanging branches category anonymously at 21:24, Fri 15 May 2020
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2117194.
The large tree outside Gedling Court flats on Jamaica Road has grown very close to the building, so that it now bangs against the building quite hard when the wind blows. Apart from being noisy (in our flat, on the 6th floor, it’s banging against the windows) I’m concerned it might cause some damage to the exterior of the building. In particular, it keeps brushing against the steam vent from our boiler - I can’t see any damage yet but it’s probably not very good for it. Has been an issue for about six months but has been more noticeable recently with the leaves out and high winds.
Thank you for your report. This will now be investigated by our team, where possible and appropriate action will be taken. We will still try to update on the progress within 10 days, however in the current circumstances it may not be possible to do so while we focus on keeping our roads safe for critical workers as they to continue to support London
State changed to: In progress
