Staying red for too long

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2124159.

Traffic signals seen to be very long. Cars were backed up all the way back to previous lights and signal seemed longer than usual.

  • Traffic lights for traffic heading east down West Hill and turning left - being consistently held on red for several minutes, even when no traffic heading west and turning right

  • Traffic signals are stuck on red for minutes at a time, any time of the day or night - regardless of traffic in the other direction - ie, the lights are NOT responsive to traffic conditions at all - they seem to be on a default setting. During daylight hours, cars are backed up all the way back to previous lights, where the A205 meets the A3 - causing unnecessary traffic congestion
