Manhole cover causing cracks/vibrations in property

Reported in the Manhole Cover - Damaged (rocking or noisy) category anonymously at 17:28, Thursday 21 May 2020

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2124316.

"Dear Sirs My husband contacted your office by phone and he was told to send in an email. Recently you’ve completed repairs near the traffic light on Thornton Road close to the school. Since then it had gotten worse than ever when the vehicles are passing. It is causing the properties to vibrate and even in my back room I can feel the movement and the radiators rattling.

My husband has spoken to some of the other resident and they are experiencing the same problem so we know that we are not isolated.

Also there’s a problem when the vehicles drive on the manhole cover and the dip in the road by the corner shop.

I would appreciate if some could some round to have a look as well as the damage it’s causing to our property. There are cracks now appearing all over our house so something need to be done very urgently."
