Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2143164.
Broken manhole cover on part of West Hill, between Ashcroft academy and the entrance to Keswick road. This is very loose and there is constant loud noise from it day and night when cars and trucks go over it.
This manhole cover was reported on the 30th May. It still has not been repaired. The noise is now so loud and so constant, that it is becoming impossible to work from home effectively or sleep at night. This constant loud banging noise is really affecting my quality of life. I cannot concentrate on anything or think straight. Please can this be fixed immediately.

Hello tfl, since you think that "every journey matters" how about every person's sanity matters?! Every single car that drives on West Hill over this manhole cover creates an ever increasing loud crashing noise that reverberates in my flat and in my head. I urge you to address this, please.

I've had difficulty sleeping at night for a long time from this. Double glazing windows are not making a difference.

This manhole cover in the Westbound carriageway is still in need to repair. The ironwork stands proud of the road surface and makes a noise every time a vehicle passes over it.

My wife's sanity is slipping. Please help by fixing this manhole cover. I'm afraid of what further impact this could have.

It Sounded as though somebody did a temporary repair at the weekend. But it has already started to fail and it’s getting louder and louder this morning it returned to a constant banging sound as Cars ran over it. This needs to be properly fixed to avoid the unbearable racket it quickly escalated to last time.

This manhole over is literally driving me insane when is someone going a do something about this?!
The noise is loud and relentless, I can’t sleep when we have gone as far as to purchase noise dampening double glazing. Does anyone know who is directly responsible? Would legal action be a possible avenue to peruse?

This was taken today. A total joke of a fix. This is causing a lot of stress and distress to us and our neighbours. Can TFL get this fixed ASAP please.

It’s been now over 5 weeks that this manhole has been making horrible noise through out the day and night when cars are passing over it. It has now really effecting my health, I can’t sleep at night because of the horrible noise and during the day it’s impossible to be at home and be in peace or be able to work. I know this has been reported long time ago and it is still an issue. They have put the temporary fix on it last week which lasted for 2 days. I was watching the guy from my window when he came to fix it, he literally spent 5mins putting some tarmac over it and left. The manhole is located right in the middle of A3. We have been going through this every year as far as I remember.. This manhole needs to be relocated and be put somewhere that cars are not passing over it. So one time fix forever other wise this is going to happen over and over again.
