Sent to TfL less than a minute later.
TfL ref: FMS2168443.
There have been numerous issues with the traffic lights at the junction of Downham and Southgate Road. New lights were installed but the main issues (which I have reported previously): When a person presses the button on the lights to cross the road, the 'beep' is excessively loud. Much more than is required. Our residence is approximately 100m away and it is audible to the point of being a real nuisance. The other issue, which is occurring right now, is that the 'beep' does not stop even after the lights have changed. As of today, this has been going on for just over an hour and again is a real nuisance. At this time of year when the weather is warm, we have no option but to keep the windows closed which is extremely unpleasant. Please could you get an engineer/traffic light technician to resolve the faults with these lights properly.
Thank you for your report. This will now be investigated by our team, where possible and appropriate action will be taken. We will still try to update on the progress within 10 days, however in the current circumstances it may not be possible to do so while we focus on keeping our roads safe for critical workers as they to continue to support London
State changed to: In progress
