Ambiguous/Pointless & Dangerous Barriers

Reported in the Streetspace Feedback category anonymously at 11:46, Monday 6 July 2020

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2187666.

First of all, seeing as the barriers have only been in place a couple of weeks... the timing of this implementation is really quite ambiguous and quite frankly pointless. Pedestrians managed on the pathway for weeks during the peak of Covid-19/Pandemic which is wide enough for pedestrians to socially distance safely. The barriers which have been installed are actually quite dangerous for cyclists as they force them into the lane of busy traffic with no option to move over if needed into spare parking bays or other areas. This will end up resulting in a serious if not fatal road accident involving a vehicle & a cyclist. Thank you for your time in considering the points I have raised.
