The hoardings on the building site have been moved, and obstruct the pavement

Reported in the Hoardings blocking carriageway or footway category anonymously at 15:18, Thu 23 July 2020

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2213663.

The pavement width on the NE corner of the A20/A21 junction is not enough to allow two people to pass without stepping into the road, let alone allow social distancing. This is the major pedestrian route between the railway station, main bus stops, and Lewisham Town Centre. The hoardings seem to have been put up recently, possibly today. The corner is a blind corner on the A20, and it is dangerous.

Updates

  • As you can see, the busy bus interchange has far too little space for pedestrians. I had to step into the road today to pass a wheelchair user - how would two wheelchair users pass? And how do you propose people waiting for buses should maintain social distancing?
