Dangerous man hole fault
Reported in the Manhole Cover - Damaged (rocking or noisy) category anonymously at 23:43, Thu 23 July 2020
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2214261.
Vehicles nearly loosing control and cyclists in huge danger too as this hole around the man hole gets bigger and the manhole itself moves when travelled over. Only a matter of time before a terrible incident/fatality occurs. The noise and vibrations are very annoying too but mostly this is very dangerous and an example of huge neglect on this red route which is also residential and means basic road safety standards are not being met at all. It has been faulty for months and months with temporary fixes lasting only hours or days. You must do something about this before someone’s life is lost!

The temporary fix of the man hole cover has failed again, most of the tarmac has now come out and leaves a gaping hole in the ground. Cyclists are having to swerve out into the second lane just to try and avoid it! The man hole cover also bounces up and down a couple of inches every time a truck dries over it which shakes the ground

Hi there, thank you for the speedy patch up last week. Sadly this is already failing leaving a DOP next to the man hole once again. Trucks and busses are now crashing over the hole. Could you please look into a longer term fix?
Thank you
