Mis-signed bus lane (new s

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2224552.

The portion of Finchley Road outside finchley Rd tube station (221 Finchley Road) heading north has been narrowed from "Two lanes + a bus lane" to "One lane + bus lane" to enable social distancing. This has caused huge traffic congestion at all times because the signposting is confusing.

The bus lane where the road has narrowed is a bus lane that only operates between Monday and Friday between 4pm & 7pm (there is a sign outside 223 finchley road that indicates this).

However just before the narrowing of the road commences, there is a sign (outside Waitrose 199 Finchley Road) that indicates that the bus lane is in force at all times.

As a result, most motorist think that the bus lane where the street narrows is enforced at all hours. As a result, you need to put a sign just before where the road narrows to indicate that the bus lane ONLY narrows between 4pm & 7Pm on monday to friday (or change the sign outside waitrose finchley road). This will make a huge difference to traffic
