Pedestrian crossing at end of Lichfield Road

Reported in the General Fault category anonymously at 10:26, Monday 10 August 2020

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2238172.

Pedestrian crossing over Grove Rad between Lichfield Road and Mile End Park - when a pedestrian presses the red button, button frequently cancels itself after a few seconds, so that the traffic lights do not change. I use that crossing daily and frequently have to press the button four or five times. When the crossing does work, the lights take too long to change. The upshot is that pedestrians do not wait for the lights to change and run across the road in gaps in traffice, which is dangerous. It is also not ideal to have to repeatedly push a button, given the pandemic

Updates

  • Dear all, This happened right now. I am taking the D6 bus to cross harbour. The bus was completely full but the driver did no care about us and he was adding more people. He didn’t respect any social distancing at all. I found this very disrespectful. Please see the attached photos. The bus number is YX68 UJJ
