Streetspace measures in Lewisham

Reported in the Streetspace Feedback category anonymously at 16:55, Mon 17 August 2020

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2250154.

Lewisham council have been closing roads using the covid 19 epidemic as a spurious excuse. I am writing to object to the mayor of londons transport strategy as this will mean queues of traffic on the main roads will lengthen journey times for everyone including buses which will increase congestion and increase pollution. This will also disadvantage the elderly and disabled who cannot walk or cycle and could cause delays for emergency vehicles. We pay our road tax at an ever increasing rate and you set to penalise us further. There has been minimal public consultation on this strategy and I wholly object. furthermore I object to the further roll out of the ulez charge which is a money making exercise set to penalise me further as a hard working tax payer. I want my voice and my objection to be heard
