Car and Motorcycle Races in the Blackfriars Tunnel

Sent to TfL less than a minute later.

I am writing to file a formal complaint on behalf of all Queenhithe’s residents.
We have been suffering with traffic noise coming from Upper Thames Street for years. We accept that we live in the heart of the City and city noises will occur. However, lately, car and motorcycle races have become very frequent especially throughout the Blackfriars Tunnel. Which, I have been told, is under the responsibility of TFL.
Something about the extension and echo of the tunnel attract racers. Ultimately, it has become an ordeal to sleep. Friday and Saturday nights are the worst. It is unbearable.
Is there any possibility of introducing some sort of speeding restriction to deter these anti-social drivers? Speeding cameras clearly are not sufficient. Speed bumps or any other method that potentially could damage their precious vehicles would work just fine. Plus, it could save lives.
We urge for an efficient measurement to be taken to hold back races to continue taking place in the Blackfriars tunnel.
We very much look forward to a resolution.
With warm regards, Igor Belache
P.S: I have footage of very loud engine revving in front of our residential building at 00:15.
