Streetspace changes here affecting small businesses

I am writing to express my deep concerns about the above recent modifications.

I run a small business from home in Tooting Bec and have struggled throughout the lockdown and the on-going pandemic to keep my business going. I am keeping my head above water (just) but these new restrictions on the roads around our neighbourhood have been a real kick in the teeth for my business and several other small businesses who operate in the locality.

I drive a fully electric van and make deliveries all around London - particularly concentrating on my local area. I am now unable to turn into my road from Tooting High Street or turn right out of my street towards Balham. The courier companies I use will also have difficulty delivering to my house and I am concerned some will give up actually trying to get to my address because of the ludicrous diversions they will have to take.

"A consultation by trial” model seems so unfair to small businesses who are going through hard times already. Days and weeks make a difference to my business and others. I will have gone bust in a year if it takes that long to sort it out. Its all well and good doing stuff quickly to get the money but if it bankrupts all the local businesses who has won?

This really needs sorting urgently. I am not alone.
