Dangerous manhole cover
Reported in the Manhole Cover - Damaged (rocking or noisy) category anonymously at 16:50, Fri 4 September 2020
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2278795.
The manhole cover next to the Bertha James Day Centre bus stop, repairs to which have been bodged regularly over the last few years, is more dangerous then ever, please can you ask your contractor to come and throw some more tarmac over it so they can charge us taxpayers for the pleasure of paying for this again in future.
Or they could fix it properly this time?
The road has collapsed around the drain over the weekend, its now incredibly dangerous and It’s highly likely to cause damage to vehicles and severe injuries to cyclists. Vehicles are swerving into oncoming traffic to avoid damage.
