Streetspace affecting Rowfant Road

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2287531.
Please can you urgently help Rowfant Road which has been seriously affected by the TfL changes to Balham High Road. The creation of a cycle super highway has been done at the expense of turning Rowfant Road into a vehicle super highway. The closure of the left hand turns from Balham High Road into Balham Park Road and Chestnut Grove is diverting all the traffic down Marius Road and into Rowfant Road - it has created a very busy rat run down what was previously a quiet residential road. This has massively increased traffic noise and air pollution for residents contrary to any stated aims of creating a greener environment and more pleasant living conditions for Londoners. The effect of forcing all this traffic down a narrow road is also highly dangerous for locals. While we support increased bus and cycle use this should not be done at the expense of local residents' quality of life. Please can you reverse the decision to close off the left hand turns - it seems ridiculous to close access to major roads, especially ones with traffic lights (like Chestnut Grove), if it forces traffic down quiet residential roads. If this is not possible then please close the left hand turn into Marius Road from Balham High Road as well. If traffic volume is to be reduced it must be properly rather than just being diverting it somewhere else. Furthermore when an assessment is being done on the effect of this scheme on traffic volume down Balham High Road, it must include traffic volume down Rowfant Road or it will be highly inaccurate. Please could you help with this matter urgently as it is causing enormous distress to the residents of Rowfant Road
