Trip hazard on pavement

Reported in the Pavement Defect (uneven surface / cracked paving slab) category anonymously at 16:20, Mon 14 September 2020

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2294277.

I am sorry that I don’t have a photo of the exact location but I was in shock after I tripped on the pavement today about 2.45pm on my way to pick up my son from school. I was pulling my daughter along on her scooter (she’s only 2!) and I tripped and landed hard on my thigh. I have injuries everywhere but have just sent you a couple of photos of the injuries. My biggest concern was that my daughter was going to end up in the road. I don’t understand why there is no fencing there when it is a pavement in a residential area and cars go 40mph. Children as young as 11 cycle along this path as well with no barrier between them and fast-moving cars. Luckily, my daughter was ok but it’s horrific to think of how badly it could have ended. A police car was passing by at the time and circled back to check on me (I missed them as had to rush to school) so I don’t know if you can get dashcam footage or anything. Something needs to be done about this before there is a serious accident or tragedy!
