Vehicles diverted into Victoria street congestion zone without any options for a diversion.
Reported in the Roadworks category anonymously at 10:54, Fri 2 October 2020
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2321539.
On the approach via grosvenor place into Bressenden place motor vehicles are diverted into Victoria street to Vauxhall bridge via Thirleby street. There are no options to turn around to avoid the congestion zone through any other legal routes. The diversions, lack of additional signage are therefore cohersing drivers to drive into a zone thereby incurring a charge.

I can confirm that the signage is not part of our diversion route, we have a diversion in place for CC/ULEZ exemption route that is via Millbank, Albert Embankment and Lambeth Bridge. I requested the Traffic Management Crews to drive the location detailed in the complaint and they found no diversion signage to report back, this may have been for other works or temp signage but I can confirm that it is no longer there and wasn’t related to Vauxhall Bridge closure. Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. Should you need anything else or have any questions please contact customer services on 0343 222 1234

I am driving into vauxhall via edgware road and there were diversion signs as seen in the image leaving me no other choice to turn left and them immediately right To be back on my route toward vauxhall. I would like to know will this mean that i will have to pay congestion despite this being no fault of my own?

I was travelling towards Victoria via Edgeware Road. Near the end of Edgeware Road I was forced to turn left by a diversion sign due to works being done and the road being closed into the congestion zone. Do I have to pay for congestion?

I went through the same route on 04/04/2021 AT 21:27 , there was road closure and an official diversion sign diverted me into congestion area. Today 16/04/2021 , I received a penalty charge by post for entering congestion area on the 04/04/2021 (Great Cumberland place).
I emailed TFl and explain it clearly, hope this penalty gets waved as I had no other option to drive .
