New roadworks set up on 08/10/2020 at Holloway Road / Wedmore Gardens under permit EC40002489344 that include heras fencing on pavement to create an enclosure / segregation for work activities / storage. Heras fencing has created a pinch point for pedestrians on corner of Holloway Rd and Wedmore Gardens - this makes passing difficult and social distancing impossible. Works have commenced and have consisted of breaking out of sections of the road using noisy machinery. While workers are using ear defenders, there are no noise reduction measures in place to protect passing pedestrians (e.g. acoustic barriers / different machinery). Also, there are not measures in place to reduce risk of debris from the breaking out inadvertently jumping from works area and hitting members of the public).
