Pothole on A406 towards Blackwall
Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 12:34, Fri 16 October 2020
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2343781.
The pothole is on the A406. As I was driving on the third lane in from the right, there was a big and deep pot hole which is unavoidable. As I hit the pot hole it instantly deflated my tyres and had to stop where I found an adequate place to stop as there was no hard shoulders. Soon further inspection it has caused my alloy to crack and puncture my tyre. There was drivers in front of me that had also hit the pot hole and cause damaged to their vehicle also. This is very unsafe and will cause an accident as you can instantly lose control of your vehicle whether you hit the pothole or try to avoid it. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to take a picture of the pothole as it was on the motorway and that would be extremely unsafe.
This incident occurred yesterday on 15/10/2020 at approximately 17:30.
