Hello TFL, I reported the faulty manhole cover to Thames Water as per the update above dated 20/10/20. They then sent a technician to investigate and concluded that what has actually happened is that it is actually a 'cable pit' that was accessed and has then been recovered with a Thames Water manhole cover in error. Consequently they have suggested that I refer back to you. Thames water suggested that I give you the reference number of: 3157DDWB should in case you need to make contact with them. This needs resolving ASAP as the noise when the manhole cover is driven over by traffic is very disturbing, particularly at night causing difficulty in getting an undisturbed nights sleep.

Hello, I am also an inhabitant of the area and this noise is getting increasingly bothersome. This issue was reported in October 2020, its February 2021, it's been 5 months now and no one has fixed this issue yet! From the messages above the TfL has referred it to Thames Water and Thames Water referred it back to TfL. Can someone finally investigate and address this issue please ? The noise becomes unbearable...
