Accident on Stanstead Road at the Junction of Faversham Road

Reported via desktop in the Pavement Defect (uneven surface / cracked paving slab) category anonymously at 11:37, Monday 26 October 2020

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2357515.

Highway Inspector has contacted to say that there was an accident just outside the church on Faversham Road involving a van. The accident has caused damage to metal bollards which has caused the pavement to rip up. Damage to the church wall but also a BT manhole cover has been smashed with the weight of the van and has now left a hole on the footpath. Called to report the problem so someone from TfL can block the path so no accidents happen before BT get round to coming out to fix the manhole cover.
