Infernal noise day and ALL night caused by heavy lorries hitting the loose manhole cover at speed.

This is an old problem starting anew. In November, 2018, after a ninety-eight day campaign and a local petition, this damaged cover adjacent to an old folks home was at last replaced ... with an assurance from officials that the new cover was "guaranteed" to last five years. Well, here were are, less than two years later, with the replaced cover making just as much noise as ever. Delays in fixing the problem back in 2018 were blamed on officials being too busy with Brexit. This time, we assume, Covid19 will be blamed if the work is not done quickly. We collected 100 signatures for our previous petition; now we will aim for 1,000. We want the official(s) who guaranteed the first repair to explain why that assurance proved as weak as the manhole cover the contractor fitted. AND we want this noise nuisance abated.
