Location Broken rectangular manhole cover on the pavement outside Nos. 83/85 St Dunstan's Hill, below the embankment carrying the southbound carriageway of the main road. Problem Broken rectangular manhole cover on the pavement about 0.5m square. There are holes in the cover large enough for a child to put their foot through. It is also a trip hazard. No sign on the cover indicating which utility/organisation has responsibility for it. Action required Please confirm that as a temporary safety measure, TfL will immediately (next 48 hours) place a safety board over the manhole whilst you ascertain which utility/organisation has responsibility for it. TFL / LB Sutton (NB. Although St Dunstan's Hill is a Red Route, when you put the cursor on the pavement below the embankment on the map on the TfL web-site, it says that this section of pavement is a Borough responsibility. However LBS say this is a TfL matter and have sent my complaint to you. All I want is for this matter to be fixed asap.)
