Pedestrian crossing not being triggered

Reported via desktop in the Pedestrian wait button not working category anonymously at 21:46, Thu 12 November 2020

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2384965.

Often when I cross here, the pedestrian crossing button does not work. It appears to work because the red light surrounding the button goes on, but it goes off again without the traffic having been stopped or the green man appearing. This has been happening for some months, making the road dangerous to cross as there is lots of traffic
