Pedestrian Safety concerns

Reported via desktop in the Streetspace Feedback category anonymously at 14:19, Wed 18 November 2020

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2394138.

My concern remains about the safety of pedestrians at the old Highbury Corner , particularly on the staiton concourse. Remember pedestrians are the majoirty of the population. Sadly very very few cyclists use the designated cyle lanes TFL provided but cut accross the pedetrianised area. After some pressure TFL have very beladely provided two exceediling small signs saying cyling is not allowed. But they are hardly visible as so small and poorly located and are routinely ignored by most cyclists and i am feel very confident to say most and please except I am not part of anti cylist group It is now very difficul to walk across that area, particulary if old, young or disabled. I reman of the view there will be a serious incident with a cyclist knocking over a pedestrian soon i You need to put up proper signage and monitor and then enforce compliance

Also the scheme is a a pollution disaster for the local primary school as it has increased pollution there de to idling traffic and congestion. Really detrimenetal on the childrens health and totally contrary to the Mayors committment to reducing pollutants by schools. OK for Wetherspoons and Pret and McDonalds customers as no traffic (just racing cyclists!!) but not for the youngchildren!!!
