Manhole Cover in southbound carriage way

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2412697.

As happens from time to time the weight of traffic casues manhole covres to sink and/or loosen, meaning that as vehilcles run over them noise and vibration is caused. I'ts a gradual process that has become more apparent during the last 14 days. Already reported by 43 Tweedy Road

  • A layer of tarmac has been put over the cover, which seems to have alleviated the issue. However, experience shows that these are short term fixes and the underlying fault remains
