Light sequencing flickered between red and amber

Reported via mobile in the Stuck on red category by Amie Johnson at 09:49, Mon 14 December 2020

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2430675.

I was cycling along Upper Thames Street and reached the traffic light set on the corner of Queens St Place (river on my left heading towards embankment). As I stopped at the Red light the lights changed to amber and sequenced straight back to red causing a false start. This is the second time I have noticed this.

  • Today the road closed sign for Lower Thames St/Embankment under Blackfriars Bridge is the only indication of road closed, hence two lanes of traffic from beyond Tower Hill/The Highway taking an hour to get to Puddle dock. This utter gridlock myself personally 1 hour of lost earnings with many other vehicles moving very slowly and costing the economy The inside lane from Tower Hill should have been conned off with extra signage displayed City of London wants a cleaner environment with the bad planning is worsening the environment with traffic halted for an hour unaware of what the problem is City of London have messed up again and can't give any reason to excuse the bad planning
