Trees are too large and require cutting back

Reported via desktop in the Low hanging branches category anonymously at 14:05, Wed 16 December 2020

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2434805.

We are the freeholders of the building at 8-14 Clapham Road.

We have recently had to spend circa £80k to undertake works to the roof of the property, as a result of the trees on the pavements to the frontage. As the trees are so large, and not maintained, the leaves are ending up on the roof of the property, blocking the gulleys and outlets. Could you please arrange for the trees to be cut back to a reasonable height to prevent further damage being caused to our property - you can see the extreme height of the trees from the attached photo. Please bear in mind that this is a 3 storey building and the trees extend over the roof level by a number of meters. We are having to undertake weekly clearances of leaves from the roof to prevent further damage in the meantime. We have spoken with the local authority and they have advised that due to the trees being located on a red route, this is an issue for TfL to deal with.

I look forward to hearing from you in due course.
