Hi to everyone at TFL.I am contacting you again about the continuing noise pollution caused by the the noisy manhole cover outside of Grout tiles at 315 Upper Richmond Rd west,sw14.Myself and my neighbours are simply not going to put up with this any longer. You have claimed that this cover is fixed via the fix my street sight, and to one of my neighbours. It may look ok cosmetically ,bit it produces a nasty metallic clunk when a vehicle drives over it.It is especially bad between the hours of 10pm and 8am,when heavy lorries cross over it.As shown on your own website, you are tasked with correcting the problem. You have done this many times before by covering the cover with tarmac. It needs to be done again ASAP. I cannot even sleep in my own bed because of the disturbance, which can occur every 20 seconds. One of my neighbours is seeing damage to his paintwork because of the vibrations.Another is thinking of investing in double glazing to block out the noise.I think that Thames water or yourselves should be liable for this. A permanent solution would be cheap and easy.Just a layer of rubber matting under the cover would fix it for good. I am asking Richmond council to get involved, and I hope that they will be issuing a noise abatement notice to you and,or Thames Water who are really responsible for this stupid state of affairs.I expect to see your team sorting this out before the holiday period starts. Many thanks for your time and attention to this issue.
