LED lights pollution
Reported via desktop in the Single Light out (street light) category anonymously at 14:12, Fri 18 December 2020
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2438083.
New LED street lights have been installed in Clifford Avenue mid March 2020 during first Covid shutdown. The LED lights stand 8 meters tall and are very bright ,not only disturbing the wildlife but beginning to adversely affect our lives. This is very inconvenient particularly considering that during Covid pandemic we need to ventilate rooms frequently -this now being possible only during night time because of traffic pollution and ULEZ measures. Would it be possible please to add a small reflector shield to each light to ‘bounce’ the light away from our bedrooms and maybe direct it more towards the road ?
