Uneven crossover 1 Clifford Ave SW14 7BT

Reported via mobile in the Pavement Defect (uneven surface / cracked paving slab) category anonymously at 11:18, Sun 20 December 2020

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2440103.

The crossover, paid for by us and built by Tfl contractors in 2009 is uneven eg 6in deep pool at front. Maintenance is under Tfl. The unevenness has been previously reported to no avail, when Tfl contractors on Chiswick Bridge and A316 parked and turned equipment on the crossover. The traffic in the cemetery entrance also turn and park on the crossover. It is now dangerous as the unevenous causes pedestrians to stumble.

  • No work has been carried out. It remains the same as when reported. It is not fixed.

Psa for photo. Clearly the dip is still in place as shown by pool/darkened area collecting leaves.

If you are suggesting that the dip will not be repaired, be prepared for broken ankles.

As previously stated, the damage has been caused by heavy traffic mounting and turning on the "domestic" crossover you installed and maintain - your road and bridge contractors; lorries turning to change direction on A316, as no right turn off Mortlake Road onto A316 Clifford Ave.; lorries parking for drivers to use toilet facilities in the cemetery; coaches and horse carriages used for funerals; facilities vans and lorries driving along the pavements to mow verges, maintain TfL cameras and telecoms boxes; road maintenance lorries parking on the cross over and pavements; etc.
