Noisy manhole cover

Reported via desktop in the Manhole Cover - Damaged (rocking or noisy) category anonymously at 16:16, Wednesday 13 January 2021

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2476264.

A232 Chepstow Road, Croydon. Badly Rocking Drain Cover. Croydon bound close to zig-zag's at Zebra Crossing. Very loud 'crash - crash' when wheels pass over it, especially Articulated Vehicles. This is a Red Route and I believe it is yourselves who carry out work on Red Routes.

Nearest junction is Park Hill Rise. Approximate postcode CR0 5JF. To locate the noise is very simple. Find the Zebra Crossing, wait near it and within seconds you'll hear it as wheels pass over it. There are others in the area that 'rattle' but this is the one that sounds the loudest, especially at night.

Progressively getting worse over a 3 week period. Started off as 'tap-tap. Now more like 'Bang-Bang'.

I did report this on 'Fixit.com' but I thought an e-mail direct to you might help.
