1 in 4 Drivers are unable to see/understand the Left-Turn Filter Light.

Reported via desktop in the General Fault category anonymously at 16:14, Mon 18 January 2021

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2486260.

Moderated by TfL at 16:04, Fri 22 January 2021

Drivers turning left at the traffic lights are unable to see the Left-Turn Filter Light turn green and this leads to Beeping by the cars behind, aggressive behaviour by drivers and Noise Pollution at the Junction. There is no fault with the traffic light. It is just poorly located, drivers cannot see it or think it relates to the bus lane and wait for the full green light to appear.

Following months of correspondence with TFL and Highways@Lambeth. Lambeth Council (Highways Team) have said:

"Being on a Red Route, this junction is administered by the strategic roads authority for London, Transport for London. To initiate their investigation, they have asked that you go to https://tfl.gov.uk/ help-and-contact/ contact-us-about-streets-and-other-road-issues and use their street care reporting tool to enable them to allocate the issue to the most suitable member of their staff to investigate and reply

Regards

Andrew Burton Assistant Director of Highways, Capital Programmes and Sustainability Environment & Streetscene Division Resident Services Lambeth Council"
