Manhole Cover on Upper Richmond Road is loose in the carriageway.
Reported via desktop in the Manhole Cover - Damaged (rocking or noisy) category anonymously at 13:52, Fri 19 February 2021
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS2557434.
TFL resurfaced the carriageway of the Upper Richmond Road in January 2020. In doing so a manhole cover was disturbed and not properly fixed such that it was loose in the carriageway and posed a danger to road users. This was fixed in March/April 2020. The manhole cover has again become loose in the carriageway. This is noisy and disturbs residents but more importantly poses a health and safety risk to road users and pedestrians. Although the manhole cover may or may not be a Thames Water cover, the problem was created by TFL and needs to be addressed permanently.
