Excessive noise on Praed street (next to Pret shop) during MidNight

- excessive noise from roadworks which started after 12:00 midnight - on a street where residential buildings are on both sides of the street.

  • To Whom it may concern,

    We apologise for the noisy working at the time shown.

    The work here was to resurface the road to complete the junction upgrade at Praed street. Unfortunately given the disruption this brings to vehicles the only suitable time to minimise the impact to the road network was in the late evening. The relevant authorisations were obtained by TfL and Westminster council after careful consideration of options such as minimum time on site with least impact. There was also a letter to residents in November 2020 detailing all the work on the Edgware road including the road resurfacing this was delivered to properties nearby (50 metre) radius from the Edgware road.

    The site required an upgrade with several incidents over a period of time occurring and was part of the Mayoral Healthy Streets scheme.

    I hope you can understand these issues cannot be avoided and all solution to minimise disruption were considered.
