Junction of London Road / Devonshire Road / Dartmouth Road - Issue at very busy junction.

Good afternoon, I wanted to draw your attention to this as it only a matter of time before someone gets seriously hurt. Please see image below. The green arrow shows the correct lane. The red line shows the lane that some drivers take (I witness at least 2-3 people a day). The broken orange line shows where a very faded white line is (not sure if this can be a solid line but it definitely needs repainting. The blue circle at the end of the orange line show where a bollard is correctly placed (although by this time it’d too late and people are half way around the corner. The yellow circle marks my office window. Please note that the vast vast majority of people don’t make this error but it does happen on a daily basis and it needs looking at asap. I think some people that don’t know the area assume it’s one way. Best wishes,

  • As another local resident I can confirm this has happened on a few occasions I've witnessed. One young girl nearly wiped out a family of 3 in their car. Needs sorting asap.
